Aalberts has a comprehensive range of proven corrosion resistant coatings that can be used within the petrochemicals industry.
The most commonly used coatings are ECTFE (HALAR®), ETFE, PFA and FEP. We actually use the HALAR® brand of ECTFE and are proud to use this trade name.
The PFA Impreglon uses is probably the highest performance corrosion resistant coating available. It is able to withstand very aggressive environments up to 260°C.
Offshore, the Xylan® range of coatings is commonly specified. As an approved Xylan® applicator with approvals from a number of key oil & gas equipment manufacturers, Impreglon UK is at the forefront of this demanding industry.
Whilst we understand that our clients will often have decided upon a coating choice, Impreglon UK has at it’s disposal a worldwide database of experience from which it can draw. This means that there are very few occasions when we are unable to offer a confident solution.
An example of where Impreglon coatings can provide a total solution is with flow-wrappers. Here you could find coatings on rolls to prevent cold seal build up whilst still giving traction for the packaging material; hard wearing low friction coatings on the actual wrapping guides; and hot melt non-stick on the folding blocks and conveyor guide rails.
