Aalberts has vast experience and expertise in this area and has worked both with companies who extrude and blow film and those who manufacture the original equipment.
An example of this would be the manufacturers of film stretching lines for polyester and polypropylene. Where heated rolls at temperatures of 160*C plus are used to stretch film to ten times its length, Impreglon has specially designed coatings with heat stability, release and wear resistance properties. The typical coating life expectancy for film stretching lines is three years.
Aalberts has specific coatings to solve problems occurring in the production of high quality thin clear polythene film. For example, idler rolls that help keep the web taut and in line as it passes over relatively long distances. Traditional traction coatings such as rubber are being replaced with Impreglon coatings that do not suffer from work hardening and are knife resistant. Air flotation nozzles are another successful application for Aalberts.
