what is ectfe coating?
EthyleneChloroTriFluoroEthylene, to give ECTFE it’s full title, is a very robust chemical resistant fluoropolymer.
Typically applied at 500 microns to 800 microns thickness, ECTFE has long experience within the chemicals industry. The tough and resilient nature of the coating makes it very useful for applications where wear is likely. Electrical insulation is also excellent.
The most common ECTFE coating is Halar®. Impreglon UK uses the Halar® brand.
