What we are calling the Transportation Industry covers everything that moves people, so trains, planes and automobiles.

The train industry has been a long standing market sector for us, though since 2013 we’ve been working on new and novel coating solutions. The introduction of our anti-microbial coating SafeCoat 600 series opened up new avenues for us on train grab rails and station handrails.

Our presence at Railtex at the NEC was of benefit as it exposed the full range of Aalberts coatings to this important sector of the British economy. Infrarail allowed us to launch our highly effective anti-graffiti / anti-grime coating.

For the aircraft industry we work with the carriers refurbishing components. All our work conforms with the highly regulated OEM specifications.

Within the automotive sector our focus tends to be on the plant and equipment rather than on the vehicles themselves. So our coatings are used to provide easy clean options, reduced release spray use and to improve overall throughput.
